Overview
More than half of adults and one-third of children in the United States take one or more dietary supplements such as multivitamins, omega-3 fish oil, St. John’s wort, or melatonin. During this presentation, nutrition scientists from the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements (ODS) will provide an overview of dietary supplements and describe what you need to know to inform your decision-making about whether and when to take these products.

General questions about dietary supplements, including their effectiveness, safety, and quality will be answered either during or soon after the March 16 presentation. Please note that we are unable to provide personal medical advice or make referrals to healthcare providers.

Submit Your Questions to ODSPlan@od.nih.gov by 12:00 noon, Friday, March 12.
