National Library of Medicine Tours

Come visit the National Library of Medicine (NLM), the world’s largest medical library! The Library is located directly across the street from the Conference Center.
Your visit to the NLM will include a walking tour into the underground stacks where we house more than 30 million items spanning 10 centuries, the opportunity to see the computer room where PubMed, MedlinePlus,, and more than 290 other databases can be found, and a visit to our History of Medicine Division to see rare treasures.

The NLM is offering two tours on February 28. The first tour is offered during the lunch break (12:30 pm – 1:15 pm) and the second tour is offered at the end of the day (4:15 pm – 5:00 pm). Please meet the tour guide at the lower level registration desk for the short walk across the street to the Library building.
